About The Role
The Head of Legal Operations is responsible for developing and leading the newly formed Legal Operations team. Legal Ops will support the highly efficient and effective running of the Legal Services team, providing innovation, insights and support across all process and administration including systems/technology, records, risk, financial and HR activities. As part of the Legal Services leadership team, the post holder will lead the provision of data driven insights and key reports; they will be responsible for the effective deployment of systems and legal technology in Legal Services; and will ensure the team is supported by comprehensive processes, SOPs and policies.
About The Team
As part of the recently restructured, friendly and inclusive Legal Services team, you will contribute to new initiatives, support our ESG activities (including working with the University’s School of Law) and be part of the wider University community. Legal Services is an integral part of the University’s professional services.
About You
We’re looking for a creative, organised and technology-confident individual, with great interpersonal and people management skills and the ability to constructively challenge established ways of working, while presenting innovative solutions. Familiarity with the work of an in‑house legal team or working within the higher education sector would be an advantage, but not essential. You will be comfortable tackling a broad range of challenges and learning new skills along the way.
