Key Purpose of Role - Assistant Site Manager
Location: Yorkshire
The role involves ensuring the correct completion of works on housing developments, promoting safe working practices on site, and assisting the Site Manager in responsibilities such as supervising subcontractors, coordinating deliveries, scheduling works, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
The construction department is responsible for delivering quality, safe, and timely developments, working closely with the Sales department to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to health and safety legislation.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
* Comply with the company’s build policies and procedures.
* Assist the Site Manager in supervising subcontractors and trades.
* Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries to ensure efficient build processes, quality, and schedule adherence.
* Schedule works to meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
* Ensure correct working methods are followed.
* Complete relevant health, safety, and environmental documentation regularly.
* Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and instructions.
* Liaise with sales and customers to ensure high customer care standards and complete inspections and documentation.
* Contribute to business improvements and company reputation through proposing and implementing new ideas.
Working Relationships
Effective internal relationships with colleagues, health & safety department, and external relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, utility providers, NHBC, Local Authority Building Control, HSE, and purchasers.
Qualifications
HNC/HND qualification.
Experience
Experience in a similar role within the house building industry.
Key Knowledge and Skills
Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and building legislation.
Ability to deliver projects on time and to target.

Highly motivated and resilient.
