Main duties of the job
We'd like you to join us as a Clinical Lead (RN, RMN, RNLD) at our Woodlands Rehabilitation Service in York. Woodlands provides specialist Level 2 Neurological Rehabilitation and Neurobehavioural services for adults in York. We're committed to helping every person feel safe, happy, empowered, enabling them to live the best life possible. We support patients with acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, severe neurological conditions, complex stroke, and spinal cord injury. We can undertake SMART assessments for patients in Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDoC) and create bespoke treatment plans.

* Salary: £25 an hour
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full-time, 36 hours per week on a rota basis
* Location: York - Woodlands, YO10 3HU
Job Responsibilities
What You'll Be Working
Flexible hours, working 36 hours weekly on a rota, with 7.5-hour shifts (supernumerary).
What You'll Be Doing
* Undertake clinical supervision and develop competence and practice.
* Mentor/support students/support workers or healthcare assistants.
* Supervise junior staff in care plan implementation.
* Ensure staff supervision and development.
* Take charge of designated clinical areas as applicable.
* Coordinate with all involved in the care process, including carers and relatives.
* Maintain professional knowledge, participate in training, and enhance care quality.
* Plan, allocate, supervise, and evaluate team practices per shift.
* Manage patient discharges and transfers, ensuring medication availability for safe discharges.
* Assist in patient reviews and multidisciplinary team planning.
* Encourage patient participation in activities and keep records of participation.
Qualifications
* Current NMC Pin registration
* Legal right to work in the UK
