Offer description

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters. The Position In this role you will act as a thought leader and catalyst for change, collaborating across the organization to ensure our pipeline and portfolio are prepared for the access challenges of tomorrow. If you are passionate about dismantling access barriers and creating sustainable value for patients, payers, and society, this is your opportunity to make a profound impact. Role Overview The Access Innovation Lead is a pivotal, future-facing role designed to bridge the gap between our current (inline) portfolio and our future (pipeline) innovations. The key purpose is to "join the dots" across the broader health and social care system, identifying opportunities to deliver significant value for both the 'Here & Now' and the long term. This position will be responsible for creating, testing, and proving new models of healthcare partnership and execution. By focusing on our inline brands, you will generate the evidence and blueprints needed to support the rapid and broad uptake of our pipeline medicines as they come to market. This is a highly strategic, field-based role requiring deep systems thinking and the ability to operate at the most senior levels of the UK health economy. Key Responsibilities Pilot and Test New Models: Design, launch, and manage innovative pilot projects focused on new contracting models, service implementation, or pathway optimisation. Prove Future Concepts: Utilise inline brands as a "test bed" to prove the viability, ROI, and impact of new solutions, creating scalable models ready for our future pipeline portfolio. System-Level Engagement: Operate at scale across various levels of the health system, including Mayoral Health Regions, DHSC Regions, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Provider Collaboratives, and other emerging Integrated Health Organisations. Data-Driven Problem Identification: Proactively analyse population health data and system-level intelligence to identify and quantify significant healthcare challenges, system pressures, and opportunities before engaging partners. Consultative Co-Creation: Lead with a consultative, "problem-first" approach. Use active listening to deeply understand senior stakeholder priorities (e.g., waiting lists, winter pressures, specific locality challenges) and co-create mutually beneficial solutions. Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a key conduit between the field and internal teams. Work in close collaboration with [PRPC - adjust as needed ], brand squads, health economics, and medical teams to ensure alignment and leverage internal expertise. Implementation & Change Management: Drive projects beyond the initial "yes." Develop robust project and implementation plans, supporting NHS partners through the complexities of adoption and change management to ensure new pathways are successfully embedded. Who you are We are looking for a highly strategic individual who can navigate complex systems and build partnerships based on data and mutual value. Strategic & Systems Thinking: The ability to see and understand the entire health and social care system, not just a single disease area. You can connect the dots between primary care, hospital waiting lists, community diagnostics, and social care pressures. Health Economics & Data Literacy: You must be comfortable discussing, building, and presenting compelling business cases based on concepts like Return on Investment (ROI), budget impact, and QALYs. You have proven skills in analysing population health data to identify a problem before you walk in the door. Consultative Problem-Solving: You lead with questions, not products. You possess exceptional active listening skills to deeply understand a customer's specific priorities and have a track record of co-creating solutions to meet those needs. Exceptional Collaboration, Communication & Influencing: You can flawlessly tailor your language and message to vastly different audiences. You must be credible and confident having a clinical conversation with a Medical Director, a financial one with a Director of Finance, and a strategic one with a Chief Executive, often all within the same meeting. Project Management & Implementation Planning: You understand that getting the "yes" is only the beginning. You have demonstrable skills in helping a complex system like the NHS plan for the implementation and adoption of a new pathway or technology, with a strong grasp of change management principles. Market Awareness and Commercial Acumen: This involves understanding the external environment the business operates in and how to ensure we are commercially successful. Customer Insight: Knowing who the customers are, what they need, and what they value. Competitor Knowledge: Understanding who the competitors are, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and how we are best positioned against them Industry Trends: Staying aware of new technologies, regulations, or economic shifts that could impact the business.
