Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Machine Shop Operative to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supply raw materials to the point of use, ensuring traceability of material batch information.
* Manage the supply and return of tool kits to the tool kitting area.
* Dispose of waste materials, clean machines and equipment, and support internal logistics of the machine shop.
* Maintain safe working conditions and support 5S standards in the shop.
* Load raw materials according to the production plan.
* Recycle waste materials and coordinate with facilities for collection.
* Conduct regular coolant testing and treatment as required.
* Assist with coolant removal and replacement for machinery.
* Perform general maintenance tasks, including filter changes and machine cleaning.
* Support tooling control and maintenance logistics.
* Assist with benching and washing operations.
* Ensure health and safety checks are completed regularly.
* Complete documentation accurately and timely.
* Report near misses and support continuous improvement activities.
* Promote and support 5S activities within the workshop.
Skills/Experience:
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
* Machining or engineering background is advantageous.
* Ability to perform varied tasks and collaborate with stakeholders.
