Location: Duncanrig Secondary School, Winnipeg Drive, East Kilbride, G75 8ZT
Hours: 17.5 hours per week on a term time basis
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 8.45am - 12.15pm
Hourly Rate: £13.33 per hour
This is a temporary post.
Responsibilities
* Carry out cleaning functions on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls, etc.
* Report to the Cleaning Supervisor.
* Use a buffing machine to clean floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls in line with the pre‑determined schedule.
* Ensure the security of the building and act as a key‑holder as required.
* Monitor cleaning standards per specification/COSHH regulations and report issues to management.
* Remove refuse and dispose of waste appropriately.
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants must meet standard competency/behaviour requirements. Candidates must not be barred from working with children or adults and are disqualified if they have canvassed elected members or employees of South Lanarkshire Council directly or indirectly. Candidates may be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to a formal offer. Candidates may need to provide a foreign police check if applicable.
Completion of recruitment checks within a reasonable timescale is mandatory; failure may result in withdrawal from the position.
