Salary - Band 4 - starting salary £28,381 with annual, incremental progression up to £30,805 Hours : 37 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Closing Date: 19 April 2026 at 11:59pm* Arts University Plymouth is seeking to appoint a Data Analyst, to join our fast-paced Data & Insight Team, which plays an integral role at the heart of an ambitious University. Within this role, you’ll be working with all aspects of our data, including performance management, building interactive dashboards, and analysing our data to draw out deeper understanding. You’ll also be responsible for the management and development of our in-house software that allows staff to interact with our student records system as well as providing management information reporting. If you are a motivated individual who has experience of data analysis, this may be an exciting opportunity for you to join the team in a role that offers a variety of tasks, tools and approaches allowing you to develop your analytical skills. About You: Experienced within a data analyst role or similar. If you have experience of a data role within a Higher Education setting, this would be advantageous, but it is not essential You will be passionate about translating data into actionable insight, whether that’s through intuitive interaction, attractive and meaningful visualisation, or the use of plain English to communicate complex information to a wide variety of audiences You will have excellent communication, both written and verbal, and will feel comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences About The Role: Provide expert data, reporting, analytics and insight to Arts University Plymouth to help it perform at its best and deliver the best possible experience for its students Develop, build, deploy, and maintain interactive reporting and analytical tools to deliver new insights, respond to business needs, and track progress against institutional targets. Support colleagues across the University and provide expert advice around the use and interpretation of our data to help drive informed business decisions.
