Retail Store Manager
£26,259 - £30,804 plus benefits

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview: We’re seeking a motivating store manager to join our trading team. You will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, motivating your team to meet sales and fundraising targets. Your shop will be a community hub where people learn about our work and support our cause.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guide, inspire, and engage a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development.
2. Manage the commercial aspects of the store, including display, merchandising, stock management, and maintaining standards.
3. Lead by example, providing excellent customer and supporter service.
4. Maximize profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
5. Build relationships with the local community and colleagues.
6. Organize and run creative fundraising events to meet targets.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
2. Ability to work within targets and motivate others.
3. Multitasking skills in a lively environment.
4. Strong customer service knowledge.
5. Commercial awareness and knowledge of high street fashion retail.
6. Adaptability and independence.
7. Understanding of pricing, value, and worth of items.
8. Flexibility to work on a rota basis, balancing work and personal life.
