The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit a Clinical Support Worker based within the Oncology Day Unit at University Hospital Monklands.
The Clinical Support Worker, as part of a multidisciplinary team, will carry out care duties for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves working independently at times and performing duties to maintain hygiene, order, and safety within the ward environment.
Duties may vary depending on the ward/department and patient dependency levels.

What you'll need
* Basic IT skills
* SVQ III in healthcare or equivalent experience in a caring environment
* Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to perform patient care tasks effectively in a busy setting
* Ability to work independently
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Full UK/EU/EEA driver's license

* Venepuncture and Venesection skills
* Knowledge of Haemochromatosis and Polycythaemia

Permanent, Full-time (37 hours/week)
Location and hours
Based in Ward 11 Oncology, University Hospital Monklands. Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
