Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Nottinghamshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, including SEMH needs, MLD, and SLD. We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Nottinghamshire. At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require support in educational and social-emotional development
* Provide support via flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions that meet needs and progress educational and social-emotional journeys
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and DBS (enhanced) eligibility; we can assist with DBS at cost
* Two professional references
* Must be based in the UK with right to work, including for remote/online work
Safeguarding and employment status
* Role involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
