Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with specific health needs.
Duties
* Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Support clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
* Assist with medication administration as per care plans and guidelines.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Implement behaviour management strategies as needed for clients with specific challenges.
* Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when required.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or manager.
* Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks as necessary.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is beneficial.
* A background in nursing or caregiving is an advantage.
* First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and mobility assistance.
* Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring transportation of clients.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
