Responsibilities:
* Manage your own client portfolio of SMEs, partnerships, and sole traders
* Prepare and review financial statements, accounts, tax returns, and management reports
* Provide strategic business and tax advice, including cash flow, planning, and growth support
* Build strong client relationships, acting as the first point of contact for queries
* Mentor, supervise, and review the work of junior team members
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and the latest tax legislation
* Contribute to internal improvements and firm-wide initiatives such as staff training and business development
About You:
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) - Essential
* Experience in accountancy practice, managing a client portfolio -Essential
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and tax compliance
* Proficient with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of developing junior staff
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills able to build trusted relationships
* Organised, commercially aware, and proactive in identifying opportunities to add value
