The Role
As a Systems Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in a small, dynamic team, providing technical support to both global customers and internal colleagues.
Your Work Will Be Split Between
* External technical support: responding to customer queries and resolving system‑level issues related to software installation, licensing, networking, and performance.
* Internal IT support: ensuring the smooth running of local systems, hardware, and virtual environments.
This role combines detailed, hands‑on troubleshooting with the opportunity to guide and advise the leadership team on IT systems and improvements.
About You
You’ll be a confident, methodical problem‑solver with solid technical experience across Windows OS, networking, and virtualisation. You’re approachable, calm under pressure, and able to explain complex issues clearly.
Key Skills and Experience Include
* Proven experience in IT or technical support roles, ideally covering both software and infrastructure.
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems.
* Confident working with network configurations, connectivity, and firewalls.
* Experience with virtualisation (ideally Hyper‑V) and remote support tools.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Desirable extras include scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Batch), experience with software licensing systems, or previous exposure to supporting specialist software.
