This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and forward‑thinking individual to join the Pharmacy Aseptics team at East Sussex Healthcare Trust. You will work alongside fellow Support Workers, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists, playing an integral role in the supply of high‑risk injectable medicines to the infusion suite and chemotherapy day units.
Responsibilities
* Supervise other staff within the aseptic process
* Manage the training and validation of staff
* Release high‑risk medications to point of administration
* Liaise with other healthcare professionals
* Use computer systems to supply and release high‑risk injectable medicines
* Report all accidents, incidents and near misses
* Deal with hazardous chemicals (including cytotoxic drugs) in accordance with COSHH regulations
* Attend all mandatory training
Qualifications
An NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services is essential, as well as an accredited checking qualification.
