We are Partnering with a London-based insurance and financial services organisation for a qualified Syndicate Accountant to support regulatory and financial reporting activities across managed syndicates.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain syndicate accounting records and reconciliations.
* Produce quarterly and annual regulatory and financial reports.
* Support Solvency UK and Lloyd’s reporting requirements
* Assist with financial analysis, variance commentary, and management information.
* Liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and automation.
* Support system enhancements and implementation of process improvements.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior finance team members.
* Assist with ad hoc finance and project work as required.
Requirements
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Previous experience within insurance or Lloyd’s market accounting preferred.
* Strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting.
* Experience preparing reconciliations and financial analysis.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.
* Experience with process improvement or automation initiatives is advantageous.
