About the apprenticeship
Duties
1. Assist/lead weekly sessions and clubs during and outside learning hours
2. Create session plans to align with club / activity targets
3. Collaborate with department and school staff to encourage children and young people to take up opportunities in his area
4. Assist club and event marketing plans
5. In some areas it will be necessary to collaborate with existing local clubs to encourage children and young people to attend weekly sessions
6. Collaborate with volunteers and coaches within clubs and events
7. Promote the use of Welsh within the area
8. Contribute to the success of regional and national sporting events under the guidance of the district Officer and the events department
Requirements
Qualifications
NoneEssential:
i. Possession of a driving licence and car, or the ability to travel fully flexibly and autonomously will be required to perform this position
ii. It will be necessary to be able to speak and write Welsh in order to perform this job
iii. A number of relevant training courses will be required for on-the-job development
iv. Applicant must be aged 18 or over
Desireable:
i. Qualification in sport and leisure will be advantageous
ii. Experience of working with children and young people would be advantageous
iii. Experience in coaching will be of advantage
