We are currently looking for an Electronic Ground Support Engineer (EGSE) to facilitate Spacecraft AIT activities, with experience in Assembly, Integration & Test. The EGSE Engineer will work alongside subject matter experts in a dynamic and growth-focused space business.
This role is based at our customer's site, with a requirement to be on site 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
* Design and specification of EGSE to support Spacecraft AIT (e.g., Electronic Propulsion, Radio Frequency, Central Checkout Systems)
* Aligning design with requirement engineering processes (Traceability/Compliance matrix) considering customer requirements
* Review of supplier documentation and RID generation during tender and review phases
* Supporting major customer review processes
* Producing EGSE documentation (Design reports, User Manuals, Test Procedures)
* Overseeing manufacturing processes for EGSE systems, including procurement, management, validation, and certification
* Providing 1st level support for the AIT facility, including hardware commissioning, procedure development, and training
Qualifications
* Degree in engineering, preferably with an electrical background; relevant experience may substitute lower qualifications
Essential Skills
* Experience in Assembly, Integration & Test
* Knowledge of EGSE systems (Power, Data Handling, RF)
* Scripting skills (TCL, familiarity with CCS5 or similar)
* Procedure writing
* Proficiency with laboratory test equipment (Power Supplies, DMMs, Oscilloscopes)
Desired Skills
* Coding language (TCL) knowledge
* S/C database management knowledge
* Experience with EGSE Data Exchange Network (EDEN) protocol
* Familiarity with Satellite Reference Database (SRDB) / MIB format
* Requirements Management experience (e.g., RATIONAL DOORS)
Experience
* Experience in launch campaigns is a plus
* Proven experience in satellite assembly, integration, and test environments
* Experience with satellite avionics and protocols (RS4xx, MIL 1553, Spacewire)
* Experience with flight hardware integration and testing
* Procedure and test report writing
* Non-conformance reporting
