Overview
NES Fircroft are recruiting for a Senior Project Supplier Manager for a global industry‑leader in power engineering. The role requires a highly driven and resilient Project / Supplier Manager to take ownership of critical fabrication and machining work packages, working hands‑on with strong project management discipline, confident supplier engagement, and tenacity for delivery against an extremely challenging programme.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain robust project plans, including expediting strategies and recovery plans where required.
* Actively expedite supplier activities, challenging assumptions and driving actions to maintain on‑time delivery.
* Manage supplier performance, including escalation & resolution of blockers.
* Communicate clearly and confidently with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
* Proactively identify risks and opportunities, taking decisive action to resolve issues.
* Maintain accurate reporting on progress, delays, and mitigation actions.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong project management capability, with proven experience managing delivery against tight timescales.
* Demonstrable experience in expediting, planning, and schedule recovery.
* Solid understanding of fabrication and machining processes (e.g. machining, welding, assemblies, tolerances).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and command respect.
* A tenacious, resilient mindset with the confidence to push for results.
* Ability to operate calmly and decisively under pressure.
