Quality Systems Specialist Company: Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited Introduction: Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) Ltd is looking to appoint an Experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to be responsible for the provision of Quality Assurance and Compliance monitoring of the Apache AH-64E LTTSS Programme as part of the wider Vertical Lift platform. The role will be based at Wattisham Flying Station, UK. Travel to other work sites may be required. About the role: This is a key role in providing Quality Assurance against regulatory standards and accreditations for the maintenance activities undertaken on the AH-64E aircraft based at Wattisham Flying Station. BDUK’s Quality Management System (QMS) is approved by the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) and meets the requirements of MAOS, DAOS and CFAOS. The BDUK Quality Management System (QMS) is certified to AS9110C / AS9100D with additional accreditations including; ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 44001. The company plans to extend the scope of approvals and accreditations to support the expansion of new platforms, programmes and growth opportunities within the UK Defence Environment. The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for providing assurance of the current regulatory approvals and certifications and supporting the organisation with maintaining compliance with the associated regulatory requirements and standards. The Quality Specialist will be a valued member of the Vertical Lift Quality Team, reporting to the Apache Quality Lead under the direction of the Vertical Lift Quality Manager. Position Responsibilities: Provide assurance of the BDUK QMS and its related processes through active engagement with other functions supporting aircraft maintenance activities Participation in internal audits in support of the BDUK Single Audit Schedule covering both MRP Part 145 regulations and AS9110 / AS9100 Standards Supporting the BDUK Vertical Lift QA Manager / Lead in the preparation for external quality audits and formulation of any resulting action plans. Performance of documentation reviews of related quality processes / procedures Supporting colleagues within other functions with development of processes / procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to Boeing Pols/Pros Corrective Action Plan Management (CAPA) including Co-ordination & facilitation of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Establishment & management of local Corrective Action Boards Verification & Validation of CAPA Implementation Supporting Safety / Quality investigations (as directed by Lead / Manager) Non-Conformance Management and inputting data into Boeing software tools. Leading FOD initiatives and regular walk rounds of Hangar and Component Workshops Active participation within Continuous Improvement / Lean initiatives. Assist with metrics development supporting the wider BDUK QMS Attend required meetings and present associated metrics for review Preferred Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: An understanding and previous experience of Quality Assurance Management Aircraft maintenance experience A basic Engineering Lifecycle knowledge An experience in Aerospace / Defence background is highly desirable Lead/ Internal Auditor AS9100 /ISO9001 Knowledge of MAA Regulations (MAOS, CAMO, CFAOS and DAOS) Knowledge of Aerospace Standards (AS9110C / AS9100D) An understanding / experience of conforming to the Defence Standards Have a good understanding / application of Quality Management Understanding / Appreciation of Continuous Improvement Techniques Computer literate Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance for which UK residency is required The Boeing benefits package goes above and beyond, focusing on your physical, emotional, financial and social well-being.
