Job Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Practitioner to join our friendly team. You will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that meets the individual needs of every child in our care.
Key Responsibilities
* Play-Led Learning: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that align with the National Curriculum for Wales and foster imagination.
* Key Person Duties: Act as a "Key Person" for a group of children, tracking their milestones and maintaining accurate "Learning Journeys".
* Outdoor Exploration: Lead daily outdoor learning sessions, helping children connect with nature and develop gross motor skills.
* Partnership with Parents: Build strong, trusting relationships with families, providing daily feedback on their child's progress and wellbeing.
* Safety & Care: Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety at all times, adhering to all CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) regulations.
Requirements
* Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (must be recognized by Social Care Wales).
* Experience: Proven experience working in an early years setting, ideally with children under 5.
* Skills: Excellent communication, a "big smile," and the ability to read stories upside down with plenty of interruptions.
* Compliance: Must undergo an Enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
* Desirable: Valid Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.
