About the role
This is a role to support young people and children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties within a specialist school setting in York. We are ideally looking for Education – mental health support worker candidates with full time availability Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4. This Education – mental health support worker position is initially through Vision for Education on a daily rate however the chance of a contract being offered after 12 weeks is highly likely for the right candidate. The desirable candidate will be prepared to complete essential training prior to starting in this setting. We are looking for candidates to begin on our supply register from January 2024

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEMH - Teaching Assistant you will:
1. You must be enthusiastic and have the ability to build a rapport with students, be resilient, flexible and be able to think fast on your feet to adapt to challenging situations.
2. Our ideal candidate for this role must have relative experience within the last 2 years that we are able to gain professional, performance-based references
3. Ideally be trained in Team Teach - Vision can offer FREE training to successful candidates.

Salary
£75 to £90 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
