As our Estimator, you will be involved in producing land appraisals and will require experience in pricing a range of housing developments varying in complexity. The candidate will be capable of working on their own initiative and closely with the land/commercial team and will be responsible for maintaining a competitive cost database. House Building experience or have gained experience within the Construction Industry. Be computer literate. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Strong commitment to achieving deadlines. Able to work efficiently on own initiative, prioritising as necessary. A full driving licence. Positive attitude towards teamwork. Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials Desirable: Roads and sewers and infrastructure knowledge. Working knowledge of COINS land module software. Working knowledge of Bluebeam measurement software. More about the Estimator role: Initial appraisal of the tender opportunity for accuracy and completeness. Development of a measurement and pricing strategy. Attending site visits with pre-construction team members. Preparation of proposed supply chain enquiry schedules in conjunction with the buying team. Pre-enquiry communication with key supply chain partners. Internal take off and measurement utilising Bluebeam software. Arranging key supply chain tender review meetings. Maintain working relationships with our local and national supply chains. Completion of design, specification, and value engineering reviews. Coordinating pricing in conjunction with the Planner. Preparing job pricing comparisons and resources for settlement meetings. Completion of project CSA. Attendance at Client / Stakeholder meetings as required. Preparing documentation for handover meetings to production and commercial teams. Undertake appraisals for development sites based on information provided. Review site constraints, risks and opportunities in conjunction with the team and cost mitigation strategies.
