What's involved with this role: Interim Esol Tutor x2 (And Maths Engagement Tutor) Reference no: Oxfordshire 5245038 Pay Rate: up to £32.12 per hour PAYE depending on experience 37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: OXFORD Enhanced DBS disclosure required An ESOL Tutor is required primarily expert level. The ability to also deliver beginner engagement Maths will be an advantage. To work face to face with learners for two hours and provide additional support for on-line English lessons for adults in order to improve their English speaking and writing and enthuse them with numeracy skills. This role is perfect for ESOL tutors who are eager to work with adults with a variety of learning needs. Learners will then be signposted to substantive learning at college or online. Key responsibilities: Planning each session of tutoring/mentoring. Develop a bespoke and cohesive supporting programme using appropriate resources (funding is available). Providing the adult with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational journey. Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the individual's progress. Develop and deliver sessions for learners in mathematics ‘engagement’ activities which will have ‘developing confidence with numbers’ and ‘using numeracy to manage their money’ at their core e.g. board games which include counting (snakes and ladders) card games, and numeracy related activities.
