Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty Regulation 24 & Viability Assessor (Fostering) Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
* Undertake initial viability and connected persons assessments for children
* Complete Regulation 24 assessments to support timely placement decisions
* Provide clear analysis and recommendations regarding suitability of carers
* Work at pace to meet statutory timescales and children’s immediate needs
* Liaise with Social Workers, fostering teams, and partner agencies
* Prepare high-quality reports for panels and decision-making forums
* Identify safeguarding risks and strengths within family and connected networks
* Support carers through the temporary approval and assessment process
* Maintain accurate, timely case records and statutory documentation
* Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, guidance, and local procedures
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
