Great opportunity to work as a Lead Security Guard for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat. G4S is recruiting for a Lead Security Guard to work in Weybridge for a global consumer health company. Contract Information: Pay Rate: £14.55 per hour Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts and then 4 off). Must be fully flexible to work any day of the week Monday - Sunday Shift Timings: Day shifts - 06:00am to 18:00pm & Night shifts - 18:00pm to 06:00am Hours: 42 hours a week SIA Licenses: Security Guarding or Door Supervisor. The site is not accessible via public transport for the start and finish times, so you will need to have access to your own vehicle. Your Time at Work As a Lead Security Guard your duties will include: - Security Officer Function and assistance with the day to day running of the site control room operation. - Day to day completion of activity logging, including incident reports, equipment faults and D.O.B. - Answering any incoming calls and giving advice/escalation as required. - Input into Security Equipment Fault register ensuring outstanding items are repaired or escalated where appropriate. - Issuing of site keys and completing the relevant logs - Control Room Coordination of site incidents. Reporting and closing of incidents. - Ensuring Health & Safety issues are logged and reported. You will also need to respond to: - All alarm callouts and related emergencies - Bomb alerts and all other types of related emergencies - All other types of major incidents (e.g. floods, gas leaks, defective lifts etc.) - Intruders and other crime-related incidents - Security Officers in difficulties. Our Perfect Worker - Good literacy and communication skills and have good verbal and written English. - Possess an excellent telephone manner. - Be computer literate. - Be able to prioritise tasks and be calm under pressure. - Deliver excellent customer service. - A consistently smart appearance. - Reliability, self-motivation, and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision. - The ability to transfer self-motivation to staff. - The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people including the client, the client's staff and visitors, in all circumstances including emergencies and other times of stress. - The ability to take control of an emergency at least until the Control Room/Lead Officer arrives.
