Job Description
The Commissioning Engineer will have a Mechanical bias and the position will be based on site at our plant in Leeds.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Ensures that commissioning activities within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with the contract and conform with project time and budget requirements
2. Check the commissioning works being performed by the contractor in respect of timescales, HSEQ and compliance with the approved drawings and standards
3. Liaise and coordinate with other project team members, the Commissioning Manager, Erection Supervisors, HSE and Commercial Dept regarding commissioning works on time delivery, at costs and according to the specified quality and HSE requirements
4. Liaises with counterparts in the engineering department on a regular basis.
5. Complete required tests on site as required by the functional description of the plant and or equipment
6. Liaise with your Commissioning Lead in relation to testing requirements of the plant or parts of.
7. Records information into PIRS database and keeps records up to date
8. Records and saves all quality assurance documents of commissioning activities
9. Keeps the Commissioning Manager / Site Manager informed of all activities
10. Interface with 3rd parties and external bodies as necessary.
Qualifications
11. Mechanical or Process Engineer / Equivalent Science Degree with Experience
12. Has knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) legal and management system requirements
13. Valid SCC Certificate or equivalent
14. Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications with user knowledge of Sharepoint and COMOS
15. Solution orientated
16. Good forward planner
17. Good communicator
18. Ability to present ideas effectively
19. Able to evaluate ideas of others
20. Good command of English, other languages an advantage
