Steer Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our Nottingham, Long Eaton repair centre. If you are ATA-qualified (or working towards it), have strong Audatex experience, and pride yourself on delivering accurate, high-quality assessments, this is the role for you.
Role Overview
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will carry out accurate vehicle damage assessments and repair estimates, ensuring all work meets insurer and manufacturer standards, while supporting efficient workflow across the site.
Key Responsibilities
14. Conduct detailed vehicle damage assessments using Audatex or similar systems
15. Prepare accurate, cost-effective repair estimates following insurer and OEM guidelines
16. Collaborate with workshop, parts, and customer service teams to maintain repair progress
17. Communicate professionally with insurers, engineers, and customers
18. Complete all documentation accurately and within agreed timescales
Requirements
19. Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator
20. ATA VDA accreditation (or working towards)
21. Strong knowledge of Audatex and estimating software
22. Excellent organisational and communication skills
23. High attention to detail and commitment to quality
