Diversity and Inclusion & Employee Engagement Manager
Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35)
Day Rate: Up to £500 p/d (Inside IR35)
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Central London, 3 days per week in office
I am working with a financial services client who is looking for an experienced Diversity and Inclusion and Employee Engagement Manager. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering D&I strategy while driving employee engagement across the business. It is a mix of strategy and hands-on delivery, suited to someone who is highly data literate and confident using insights to drive meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities:
Diversity & Inclusion
* Deliver the organisation’s D&I strategy and ensure it is embedded across the business
* Use data and metrics to analyse trends, track progress and identify opportunities for improvement
* Support and lead employee networks and ERGs, ensuring alignment with wider business goals
* Partner with HR and business leaders to improve access, opportunities, and equity for underrepresented groups
* Conduct pay equity audits and recommend data-driven solutions
Employee Engagement
* Design and run engagement surveys and pulse checks, using insights to shape actionable plans
* Partner with divisions and functions to support and coordinate engagement activity
* Lead on company-wide and office-based events, recognition programmes, and initiatives that bring employees together
* Work closely with internal communications to strengthen employee experience and engagement
* Develop and implement feedback loops to measure and improve engagement activity
Stakeholder Management
* Partner with external consultants and community organisations to enhance initiatives
* Support managers with best practice guidance on engagement and inclusion
* Collaborate with HR, facilities, and events teams to ensure effective delivery
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in D&I and/or employee engagement, ideally in large and complex organisations
* Strong data literacy with the ability to interpret employee data, engagement surveys, and DEI metrics to drive decision-making
* Track record of delivering engagement programmes that create measurable impact
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confident facilitator with experience running workshops and training sessions
* Knowledge of employment law and equality legislation
Desirable
* Experience using HRIS or engagement platforms
* Exposure to change management or cultural transformation programmes
* Experience planning and delivering large-scale events
* Understanding of inclusive leadership and intersectionality principles
