We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient utilisation of resources
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
* Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
* Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
* Ensure all food production meets quality specifications and customer expectations
* Assist in training new team members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills
* Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Competence in food preparation techniques across various cuisines
* Experience in restaurant operations, including serving and customer service excellence
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
