Offer description

Candidate Specification: Credit Control / Sales Support Essential Experience & Skills • Strong experience using Sage 50 Professional (non negotiable) • Proven background in accounts administration, including: o Credit control o Customer and supplier reconciliations o Purchase ledger and sales ledger o Handling foreign currency o Managing petty cash and company card transactions • Experience issuing monthly statements and managing 30 day and 60 day payment terms • Confident managing SME customer accounts • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) • Experience preparing information for external accountants (quarterly and year end) • Previous involvement in office management or administrative coordination • Experience supporting sales teams (UK and export) • Ability to create and manage export documentation • Experience dealing with customer enquiries and complaints professionally Desirable Experience • Experience working within a manufacturing or distribution environment • Knowledge of import/export processes • Familiarity with P11D preparation • Experience liaising with recruitment agencies, utilities, insurers, or similar third parties • Exposure to health & safety or fire training coordination Core Competencies Technical & Professional • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Strong numeracy and financial awareness • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Confident handling confidential and sensitive information • Comfortable working with foreign currency and reconciliations Communication & Interpersonal • Professional, confident, and able to represent the company with gravitas • Excellent telephone manner and customer facing skills • Able to handle difficult conversations (credit control, complaints) calmly and professionally • Strong relationship building skills with customers, suppliers, and colleagues Organisation & Initiative • Highly organised with strong time management skills • Able to work independently and use initiative • Comfortable in a role with varied responsibilities • Flexible and willing to support other areas of the business when needed Personal Attributes • Professional, composed, and credible • Reliable, committed, and loyal — someone who values long term stability • Enjoys being part of a small, close knit team • Comfortable in an environment that can be both busy and quiet • Appreciates office banter and contributes positively to team culture • Thrives in a varied, hands on role • Enjoys a challenge and takes pride in doing things well • Represents the company with maturity and strong personal conduct Working Style & Culture Fit • Works well in a busy SME environment • Understands the importance of accuracy and professionalism • Values a company with strong staff retention and long standing employees • Appreciates being part of a market leading brand • Motivated by responsibility, ownership, and variety
