Job Description:
This role involves leading a team in developing and maintaining GM Motorsports aero-thermal applications, including CFD models, visualization, and analysis. You will be responsible for solution architecture, modern application design, and collaborating across teams to optimize aerodynamics systems for racing performance. The position requires a strong technical foundation, hands-on project contributions, and leadership in scalable cloud systems development.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading development teams on aero-thermal applications
* Designing and implementing solution architectures
* Focusing on modern, modular application design
* Collaborating with the aerodynamics team to identify and fill value gaps
* Resolving technical blockers and ensuring smooth delivery
* Delivering Scrum stories and managing implementation architectures
Required qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* Expertise in CFD systems, microservices, or data streaming platforms
* Experience with full stack application development
* Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* 5+ years in microservices development
* 2+ years in web services design and development
* Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
* Understanding of devops, CI/CD, and agile methodologies
Preferred qualifications:
* Master's degree in a technical discipline
* Exposure to aerodynamics engineering
* Knowledge of AI & Machine Learning
* Experience with VR frameworks, data streaming, and cross-platform development
* Leadership and system architecture experience
