An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and detail-oriented HR Policy Consultant to join a forward-thinking HR team, helping to shape and strengthen the organisation's people policies and practices.
The HR Policy Consultant will take the lead in developing and reviewing HR policies to ensure they remain compliant with evolving employment legislation, reflect current HR best practice, and align with the organisation's culture, values, and strategic objectives. This role will play a key part in maintaining a fair, inclusive, and legally compliant working environment.
Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, the postholder will manage the end-to-end policy development process - from research and drafting through to consultation, approval, implementation, and communication. They will also support the delivery of policy-related training and guidance, ensuring policies are well understood and embedded across the business.
This is a pivotal role for a proactive HR professional who combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Key skills and experience required:
Deep understanding of UK employment law and awareness of upcoming legislative changes.
Proven experience in HR policy design, development, and implementation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal or procedural information into clear, practical guidance.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and consistency.
