The Role:
is an esteemed arboretum sprawled across 180 acres, boasting a diverse collection of over 42,000 trees and shrubs. Notably, our collection includes a remarkable array of oaks, camellias, magnolias, and rhododendrons. Founded in 1977 by Sir Harold Hillier, the Gardens were established as a charitable trust, with Hampshire County Council assuming the role of sole trustee. The primary objective of the trust is to perpetuate Sir Harold's legacy by nurturing and enhancing the Gardens for the benefit of the people.
Over the last two decades, visitor numbers and memberships have increased significantly, leading to an expansion of our team to meet the changing needs of our visitors and to further develop our internationally renowned collection.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Manager to deliver day-to-day facilities services, maintaining a safe working environment for staff, as well as lead on the development and implementation of our Asset Strategy. You will lead a small team and have responsibility for on-site health and safety.
If you have experience in facilities management or a related field, and possess strong leadership and team management skills, along with excellent communication abilities, we would like to invite you to join our well established team.
