This is a key position within the HR Business Partner Team, providing professional advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of complex people related areas. The post will be the lead contact for one or more of the Council’s Directorates and will be a strategic partner to allocated departmental management teams and managers, aligning Human Resource and business strategy both at a Corporate and Departmental level. Working to deliver the Corporate vision and objectives by supporting the further development of a highly skilled well motivated and flexible workforce to efficiently deliver cost effective services. Supporting managers to achieve their service objectives through the effective management of their workforce and delivery of value for money services that meet customer needs and constantly focus on improving services.
The successful applicant will have the ability to engender trust and confidence of senior managers and have the ability to effectively work as part of the matrix structure in the wider team, providing advice and guidance to Employee Relations Advisors.
This is a challenging and demanding role working to deadlines, where it will be essential to quickly establish relationships with the client group.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain an in-depth experience of working at a senior level in a busy HR department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-looking HR professional with demonstrable experience of handling a variety of casework in a fast-moving HR environment and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload. You will have good knowledge of employment law and best HR practice and above all be a team player, who is willing to be flexible in their approach, providing business focussed solutions to managers to support service delivery.
