Unipart Logistics is seeking a Head of Propositions to lead the creation and launch of new product and service propositions aligned with the business strategy. Location: Cowley / Nuneaton - hybrid. You will lead the creation and launch of compelling, profitable new products and service propositions and will have exposure to senior leadership with opportunities across commercial functions.
Base pay range
Head of Propositions - New Product and Service Development
Up to £70,000 plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme

About the Role
As Head of Propositions at Unipart Logistics you will lead the creation and launch of compelling, profitable new products and service propositions in line with business strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Unipart business development team and shape the future of the business. You will have significant exposure to senior leadership and create a wide network across the business, opening doors to progression routes across the commercial functions.
Working across multiple stakeholders, the role ensures market research, competitor analysis and customer understanding inform the solution design, commercial and pricing models, marketing, contractual and legal requirements of new service propositions. You will work across existing and growth sectors, aligned to the Unipart strategy and Strategic Bids, across multi-capability to produce recommendations, proposals and business cases to commence the build of new products and services.
You will be customer-focused, passionate about creating new service propositions, have experience in value proposition development, strategy and delivery, and stay informed on the different market segments and their needs and challenges.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
* Lead and manage the Propositions team, which includes two Propositions Managers
* Define, develop, and deliver new product and service strategies in alignment with Unipart's strategic plan
* Conduct market analysis to support the positioning of sector strategies, products, and services
* Create value propositions and business cases for multi-capability offerings by leveraging existing products
* Support the creation of new propositions derived from sector strategies
* Identify and address capability gaps across the business as part of the proposition development process
* Partner with the projects team to lead a steering committee that defines the scope and requirements for new solutions
* Prepare business cases for new solutions in collaboration with finance and the product owner
* Develop commercial frameworks and pricing models for all products and services
* Align with the marketing team to ensure new services are properly marketed and that sales materials are created
* Present proposals and project updates to senior leadership
* Lead internal engagement to ensure the wider business is aware of new propositions before their external launch
* Oversee research, internal and external, to support sector strategies and Strategic Pursuit Opportunities
About You

* Graduate or equivalent calibre individual
* Experience in strategy development and delivery
* Experience in developing and launching new services or products
* Experience managing with multiple senior stakeholders
* Experience managing multiple, customer facing programmes of work
* Ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines
* Articulate, with good presentation and communication skills
* Self-starter, resilient, well organised, confident, with a detail-oriented approach
* Analytical and commercially aware
* Can-do attitude with a flexible approach
* Supply Chain and logistics sector experience
