Pay: £160 – £250 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join a thriving 11–16 secondary academy in Salisbury. The role will begin either immediately after the Easter holidays or from September 2026, depending on candidate availability. For the right teacher, the school aims to offer a permanent contract.
You will be teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering well‑structured and engaging lessons that inspire confidence, creativity and academic progress. A supportive department, planning materials and established schemes of work are available, enabling you to focus on high‑quality classroom practice, effective assessment and building positive learning relationships.
This position is suitable for both experienced English teachers and enthusiastic ECTs.

Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
Strong subject knowledge in English and experience teaching KS3 and KS4
Confident classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate learners
Ability to engage students of mixed abilities through adaptable teaching strategies
A proactive, reflective and collaborative approach within the English department
