Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

The Education Network is excited to be recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Bingley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
As a SEND TA, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, social development, and emotional well-being, while helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
* Assist class teachers with lesson delivery and differentiated learning activities.
* Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs where required.
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to meet individual needs.
Requirements
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school or care setting).
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
* Resilience and adaptability in a rewarding but sometimes challenging environment.
* A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
