We are New Burger Start Up Brand coming to Edinburgh. We are looking for a Grill Chef to join us before we open to be part of our opening team and help build us towards future openings.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grill Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary excellence, with a focus on grilling techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant restaurant environment, delivering high-quality meals to our valued guests. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and quality standards
* Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
* Follow food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
* Assist in meal preparation as needed, supporting the overall kitchen operations
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
* Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests, ensuring satisfaction
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation, particularly grilling or barbecue cooking
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
* Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
