Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality assessment services for learners undertaking Level 6 and Level 7 NVQs in Construction Management and Senior Site Management. The assessor will work closely with candidates, providing expert guidance and assessment, ensuring learners meet the standards required for senior-level qualifications. This role supports the professional development of experienced construction personnel aiming for senior leadership roles in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assess and support learners working towards Level 6 NVQ in Construction Site Management and Level 7 NVQ in Senior Construction Management.
· Plan, manage, and deliver work-based assessments in line with national occupational standards and awarding body requirements.
· Conduct regular reviews with candidates to monitor progress, provide feedback, and develop action plans.
· Support candidates in building a professional portfolio of evidence through reflective accounts, work products, observations, and professional discussions.
· Ensure compliance with internal and external quality assurance processes and data protection regulations.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on learner progress using digital systems (e.g., e-portfolios).
· Engage with employers, project teams, and site managers to facilitate robust assessment conditions.
· Contribute to standardisation meetings and continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.
Person Specification:
**Essential:**
· Assessor Qualification (TAQA, A1, or D32/33).
· Extensive industry experience in senior construction management roles.
· Minimum Level 6 qualification in Construction Management or related discipline.
· Strong understanding of NVQ assessment standards, leadership, and project delivery.
· Excellent communication, analytical, and coaching skills.
· Ability to manage a caseload of senior learners across multiple sites.
· Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
**Desirable:**
· Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualification.
· Experience delivering Level 6 or 7 NVQs in Construction.
· Chartered Membership of CIOB or similar professional body.
· Knowledge of modern methods of construction and sustainability frameworks.
