Milk Education are recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with pupils with SEMH needs in an independent school located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. This role is to work full-time, on a temp to perm basis starting from September onwards! The working hours are 08:45 - 16:15 and you will predominently be working 1:1 with students who show disregulated behaviour. The school are recruiting a large number of new staff due to an expansion following successful OFSTED visits earlier this year. The role requires high level of resilience and we are ideally looking for people who are energetic and have experience of working with children with social emotional and mental health needs. We have referrals available for working with children aged 7 up to 16.

Behaviour Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities:
● Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
● Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
● Create a safe learning environment for pupils
● De-escalate behaviour that challenges through the forming of trusting relationships
SEMH Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:
● Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH.
● Must have a passion for education
● Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
