Duties
* Safely operate vehicles, including vans, lorries, or other commercial transport, adhering to all road safety regulations
* Deliver goods to various locations promptly and accurately
* Assist with loading and unloading items, often involving heavy lifting
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
* Follow planned routes efficiently, adjusting as necessary for traffic or unforeseen circumstances
* Ensure the security of goods during transit and at delivery points
* Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly to management
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial van driving
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
* Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
* Good organisational skills and time management abilities
* Physical fitness to handle the demands of loading, unloading, and long hours on the road
