DHT/HT Salary Scale Point 7 (£75,327 per annum)
Days of Work:
Monday - Friday
To start 11th August 2025.
Martin's is a Catholic primary school situated in the South West of Tranent in East Lothian. St. Martin's has a roll of 116 pupils from P1 to P7 and a nursery class with a capacity of 20. We are one of 9 Cluster primary schools that feed into Ross High secondary school.
All staff have very positive relationships with learners across the school, and their knowledge of the learners, their families, and the community is the foundation of the school's ethos and atmosphere. We work flexibly to ensure interventions support pupils' academic, social, and emotional needs. The role of the additional PEF funded PT has been central this session. We aim to make every child feel safe and valued. Our school community demonstrates respect, care, and consideration for others, working together to uphold our vision: 'As a community of Faith and Learning we go Over and Above.'
We believe in developing leadership at all levels, with staff leading improvements in areas like interdisciplinary learning, literacy, health and wellbeing, rights respecting schools, and visual supports. Next session, we plan to build on these improvements, enhance IDL opportunities, pursue our journey to become a gold Rights Respecting and Laudato Si School, and develop our culture and pedagogy of reading. Our stable staff continues to build capacity for improvement, with ongoing collaboration with our Quality Improvement Officer. Attainment in literacy and numeracy has improved across the school.
