As a team, we work hard to provide a safe, caring and home-from-home environment for our residents who have varying needs, including those who are elderly, frail or have dementia. As a supervisor, you will lead and manage the performance of the staff team, setting and encouraging high standards, while monitoring performance and addressing any practices or attitudes that fall below expectations. Your leadership will foster a positive environment in which residents can thrive. You will also act as the key worker for service users, coordinating relevant services and acting as a primary contact for relatives, carers, and external agencies. Additionally, Supervisors are responsible for the administration of medication and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), as well as other regulatory bodies. Working within our Residential Care Service will typically involve working shifts over 7 days per week, 365 days a year – this will include alternate weekends (as part of a set rota) and Bank Holidays. Who we are looking for… It’s important to us that you have the right values and behaviours, engaging and encouraging staff to deliver care in a person-centred and dignified way, with the ability lead by example, set high standards and motivate our teams. Ideally you will have a QCF level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification, and have some experience of team leadership, although this is not essential.
