We have started working on an excellent new opportunity for someone to work directly with the Head of Performance & Industry Partnerships, if you are a proven leader who has experience working on the railway with a proven track record of performance improvement then this is the role for you!
You will have the chance to drive performance improvement activities across the Arriva Rail London network working closely with Network Rail! A fantastic opportunity for someone looking for their next step.
Responsibilities:
* Leading teams working across the network, driving performance delivery at Line of Route level in line with Line of Route targets, abiding by the ARL & NR performance governance structure.
* Drive the development and embedding of a robust and credible company performance plan at Line of Route level, with effective engagement of other functions through relevant forums.
* Be a visible member of the Performance Team, networking across the network integrating with ARL's Customer Experience and Operations teams.
* The On Time Performance Lead will also be responsible for ensuring that the root cause of incidents is fully understood, and that appropriate future mitigations are in place and actioned.
* Taking a leading role in identifying innovation and best practice when it comes to Performance, identifying opportunities for performance investments making the most of the available funds.
* Supporting the Head of Performance & Industry Partnerships with delay dispute resolution relevant to the geography of assigned Line of Route, deputising when necessary.
* Provide direction to the Route Performance Manager, providing leadership by example.
* Chair Line of Route meetings, owning the Line of Route improvement plans, risk mitigation as well as incident learning.
Qualifications:
* Proven track record of leading performance improvement in a multi-stakeholder environment is essential for this role, experience of leading and motivating teams.
* Strong experience of delivering through partnerships and track record of developing strong relationships within a multi-discipline environment.
* Any experience of writing and gaining support for business cases would be highly desirable, as well as any people management experience but this is not essential.
* Understanding of appropriate Arriva Rail London and Network Rail routes or experience in a similar environment is desirable.
* People management is essential for this role, as well as experience effectively working under pressure.
* Strong operational railway knowledge is a must have for this role, as well as someone who is driven to deliver outcomes with the ability to influence others and work under pressure, with the ambition to consistently improve processes.
* Good political awareness would be highly beneficial for this role, we all as experience in the us of TRUST/ TMIS or Compass.
