The Role
This role plays a critical part in supporting transformation initiatives for a leading global customer in the life sciences and manufacturing domain.
The consultant will contribute to high-impact projects involving advanced scheduling and supply chain optimization, with access to cutting-edge SAP technologies.
Working alongside global teams, the role offers opportunities to influence strategic process improvements and deliver scalable solutions across diverse geographies.
Your responsibilities:
1. Lead and support SAP PP-PI implementations and rollouts for manufacturing clients, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business requirements.
2. Design, configure, and optimize SAP PP-PI processes with a focus on Process, Repetitive, and Discrete Manufacturing environments.
3. Drive capacity planning and production scheduling activities, leveraging advanced SAP functionalities and integration.
4. Develop and maintain batch management processes, including Batch Determination, Batch Search Strategy, and Batch Derivation.
5. Integrate SAP PP with related modules such as APO, IBP, PPDS, PM, QM, WM, SD, and OMP to enable seamless end-to-end business processes.
6. Lead or participate in interface development and integration projects, ensuring robust data flow between SAP and external systems.
7. Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones, ensuring effective communication and timely project delivery.
8. Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and drive continuous process improvements in production planning and execution.
9. Engage with multiple sites & resolve the issues that are plant/site specific
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
1. Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP-PI implementations and rollouts, preferably in Process Industries.
2. Strong expertise in Capacity Planning and Production Scheduling using SAP PP and integrated planning tools.
3. In-depth knowledge of SAP batch management functionalities, including Batch Determination, Batch Search Strategy, and Batch Derivation.
4. Experience in integrating SAP PP with modules.
5. Hands-on experience in interface development and integration projects, including troubleshooting and monitoring.
6. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across global teams and time zones.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
1. Variant Configuration experience to support complex product modeling and customization.
2. Integration of SAP PP with MES and other connected systems
3. Basic understanding of manufacturing line processes, including shop floor operations and production workflows.
4. Prior involvement in global delivery models, with experience collaborating across IST and European time zones.
5. Experience in Repetitive and Discrete Manufacturing alongside Process Industries.
6. Ability to conduct training and workshops for business users and stakeholders.
7. Familiarity with SAP best practices and industry standards in life sciences or similar regulated industries.
