Position Details

* Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 plus benefits
* Reports to: Head of Campaign and Engagement
* Directorate: Strategy & Philanthropy
* Contract: Two contracts available: Permanent and 12-month Fixed Term (starting August 2025)
* Hours: Full time, 35 hours/week (flexible options considered)
* Location: Stratford, London (office-based with 1-2 days remote)

About the Role

We are recruiting two Donor Relations Specialists to join our sector-leading Philanthropy team. You will work closely with fundraising teams and senior leadership to develop and deliver world-class donor engagement programs, focusing on high-value donors (principle gifts over £1 million), to support our £400m ‘More Research, Less Cancer’ campaign.


Main Responsibilities

1. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives are successfully delivered.
2. Collaborate with the Donor Relations Senior Manager to develop stewardship strategies for gifts over £1 million, leveraging donor insights and external trends.
3. Plan, implement, and monitor comprehensive donor cultivation, engagement, and stewardship touchpoints.
4. Work with fundraisers to develop supporter journeys and identify engagement opportunities.
5. Oversee delivery of stewardship commitments, demonstrating impact to inspire further support.
6. Manage donor communications, including leadership messages and acknowledgements.
7. Refine processes for gift confirmation, pledges, recognition, and donor records, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.


Candidate Profile

* Extensive experience in principal gift fundraising and stewardship, with a track record of managing £500k+ gifts.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience in proposal writing and stewardship reporting for high-value donors.
* Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities.
* Experience working with senior stakeholders, including executives and board members.
* Strong strategic thinking and long-term project management skills.
* Relationship-building skills across departments and with external partners.
* Proactive problem-solving attitude with the ability to anticipate and address challenges.

Additional Information
