Are you ready to take your career to the next level in a dynamic and supportive environment? We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our team at Corby Urgent Care Centre.
Preferably you would be an Advanced Practitioner with evidence of MSc level education, ideally in Advancing Practice / Health Assessment / Decision Making / Minor Illness or Injury. Nevertheless, we would also consider applications from clinicians working towards these qualifications or an experienced nurse practitioner within a minor injury or illness/emergency department/primary care setting or who is willing to develop towards advanced level practice.
In addition to standard nursing duties, the job holder will be accountable, in conjunction with the Lead Nurse, for the clinical governance and leadership at the surgery, in order to ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all patients.
You will be supported by a wide network of peers across the group, and will receive training and professional coaching to support with your own growth; allowing you to thrive in your new role.
What we're looking for
1. First Level registered Nurse (NMC, ECP), or ACP
2. MSc in advanced Clinical Practice or Relevant ANP courses at level 6 or 7, or equivalent in Advanced Physical Assessment skills, Minor Illness, disease management, etc.
3. A Non-medical prescribing qualification
4. Evidence of continued professional development.
5. Teaching qualification i.e., 998 or equivalent (Desirable)
6. Satisfactory DBS clearance
7. Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations
8. Ability to triage (desirable)
9. Good understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness/urgent care centre and the roles that deliver this

About Corby Urgent Care Centre
Corby Urgent Care Centre offers a high standard of unscheduled care from early morning to late evening for patients attending with a wide variety of undifferentiated conditions.
The centre is staffed primarily by our team of experienced urgent care clinicians with additional support from other clinical and non-clinical members of staff.
The team is made up of a mixed MDT including GP,s Advanced Practitioners, Nurses and Urgent Care Technicians. The team is also supported by the Non Clinical team. They all work together to create a positive and rewarding workplace environment for colleagues delivering a high-quality experience for patients.
