The Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering Sociology at Key Stage 5, with the potential to contribute to humanities teaching at Key Stage 4 depending on experience. Lessons should be engaging, academically challenging, and designed to encourage independent thinking and analysis. You will play an active role in helping students develop critical awareness of social structures, institutions, and inequalities, while supporting them in achieving strong examination outcomes. Daily responsibilities will include lesson planning, marking, assessment, and supporting students in preparation for coursework and examinations. The role also includes participation in departmental meetings and contributing to curriculum development where required.
