A rapidly expanding and innovative UK MGA is seeking an E‑Trade Trading Underwriter to join its growing digital trading division. The organisation is recognised for its strong broker relationships,mitment to service excellence and continuous investment in its e‑trade proposition.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing a book of new business while maintaining strong and effective relationships with brokers across the market. You will review and underwrite quotations across a range ofmercial insurance products that fall within thepany’s underwriting appetite, handling any associated queries within the required service levels. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in IT and Technical Underwriting to support the evolution of digital products and Acturis-driven processes. You will also maintain regularmunication with Business Development Managers to support and strengthen broker engagement. As part of your responsibilities, you will act as a referral point for colleagues who hold lower underwriting authority, providing guidance and support where needed. You will work closely with the wider team to ensure that all underwriting tasks arepleted within agreed service standards, and you will uphold a high level of customer service by responding to broker calls in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. Throughout your work, you will operate within your delegated underwriting licence and refer to underwriting guidance or senior colleagues when appropriate to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach. You will be expected to take initiative to improve internal processes, contribute to broader corporate objectives and help ensure that customers consistently receive fair andpliant oues in line with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
