Salary: £27,161 per year, including a concessionary payment of £2,658
Working Pattern: Full-time for the initial 3-month training period; after this, part-time, compressed hours and job share options may be considered. Remote/home working is not possible in this role.
Responsibilities
* Participate in an 18-month development programme combining classroom-based and on-the-job learning.
* Train in a data collection specialism and learn to use tools unique to GCHQ.
* Work with analysts and teams across the organisation to apply new skills and share findings.
* Collaborate with peers during cohort sessions and with trainers to develop practical, implementable solutions.
* Apply learning to real-world data collection tasks and contribute to process improvements.
* Apply for promotion at the end of the first 12 months (subject to progress and interview/assessment).
Requirements
* No prior technical background required; full training will be provided.
* GCSE maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or an equivalent qualification.
* For the first 3 months, travel to Cheltenham and other locations regularly, often for 2–5 nights at a time. Accommodation, transport options and expenses will be provided; training will be scheduled to suit both parties.
* Eligibility: British citizen. If you hold dual nationality, one component being British, you will be considered. Generally resident in the UK for seven of the last ten years.
